Dance Notes for Specific Dances Taught in Class

Dance Groups on Campus:

NMU International Dancers:

• Meets:  Tuesdays from 7-10 PM
• Location:  Usually in the University Center at Northern Michigan University;  At the Sklars' house during breaks and when there is no room available in the UC.  Presque Isle Park during the summer
• Types of dancing:  Dancing from all around the world.  International folk dancing, mixers, line dances, couple dances, etc.

Steppin' Out Dance Club:

• Meets:  Mondays from 7-10 PM
• Location:  University Center at NMU
• Types of dancing:  Ballroom:  Tango, Mambo, Paso Doble, Cha Cha, Waltz, Fox Trot, Rhumba, Samba etc.

NMU Swing Dance Club:

• Meets:  Thursdays from 7-11 PM
• Location:  University Center at NMU
• Types of dancing:  Swing
