These are a few songs from CDs of Zambian artists in MP3 format. Have a listen to the sounds of Zambia. (N.B. Most of these songs I rarely heard while in Zambia, but the themes are similar to things heard in Zambia.) All these files are 3-8MB.

"Kaya" by Danny
This was the longest running #1 single in Zambian History (15 weeks) and was very popular last year. The song asks what will happen in the future - the answer to which is Kaya, meaning "I don't know." Oddly enough this is a hopeful song - sadly hopeful.

by The WITCH

The WITCH was a popular rock band in Zambia in the 70s and 80s, and was one of the first Zambian Rock bands. Their name stands for "We Intend To Cause Havoc." Their music has some great western rock flavors mixed with Zambian rhythms.
